AFRICA LAND FORCES SUMMIT OFFICIALLY BEGINS

The Africa Land Forces Summit (AFLS) by the United States of America Army Southern European Task Force, Africa (SETAF-AF) and hosted by the Côte d’Ivoire Armed Forces, officially begun today 08 May 2023 in Abijan.

ALFS 2023 is a forum for senior leaders of armies across Africa, the United States of America and other partner nations to solidify relationships, exchange information on current topics of mutual interest and to encourage cooperation in addressing challenges.

The KDF is represented by the Kenya Army Commander Lieutenant General Peter Njiru and Warrant Officer Class I Juma Mukangai.

The summit is being attended by over 40 army chiefs from across Africa, other partner nations, academicians, and government officials for candid dialogue to discuss and develop solutions on defence and security matters.
