A TWO-DAYS STATE VISIT BY TANZANIAN PRESIDENT IN KENYA

His Excellency Hon. Uhuru Kenyatta, President of the Republic of Kenya and Commander in Chief of the Defence Forces today welcomed Her Excellency Samia Suluhu Hassan, President of the United Republic of Tanzania and Commander in Chief of the Tanzania Peoples’ Defence Forces at State House, Nairobi.

H.E President Suluhu inspected of a Guard of Honor mounted by 9th Kenya Riffles and was accorded a 21-gun salute, a tradition for all visiting Heads of State.

The two leaders engaged in bilateral talks aimed at enhancing social integration, tourism, trade and heritage of the two countries.

She later visited the Kenyatta mausoleum at Parliament buildings where she laid a wreath.

The Tanzanian President is in the country for a two-day state visit.

Present during the visit was the Chief of the Defence Forces General Robert Kibochi, Service Commanders, top military leadership among other government officials.
