PUBLIC NOTICE : TRANSFER OF MINISTERIAL RESPONSIBILITIES OVER THE KENYA MEAT COMMISSION TO THE MINISTRY OF DEFENCE
His Excellency The President of the Republic of Kenya and Commander–in-Chief of the Defences For ces vide Executive Order No. 3 of 2020, transferred the ministerial responsibly over the Kenya Meat Commission to the Ministry of Defence fr om the Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock and Fisheries.The Ministry of Defence wishes to bring to the attention of livestock farmers and other stakeholders the a fore-stated transfer of ministerial responsibilities.
The Ministry invites the public and other stakeholders to submit their comments and views on the transfer of ministerial responsibility over the Kenya Meat Commission to the Ministry of Defence through any of the following methods not later than Wednesday, 12th May 2021

The Ministry of Defence further wishes to inform livestock Farmers that the Kenya Meat Commission Abattoir at Athi River has been rehabilitated and is currently operational.
