PAKISTANI HIGH COMMISSIONER TO KENYA VISITS THE KENYA NAVY TO ENHANCE MARITIME RELATIONS

Sunday, 28th March 2021. The Pakistan High Commissioner to Kenya, H. E. Saqlain Syedah paid a courtesy call to the Commander Kenya Navy Maj Gen Jimson Mutai at the Navy Headquarters, Mombasa.

H. E. Saqlain Syedah was accompanied by the crewmembers of the Pakistan Navy Ship(PNS) NASR Mission commander Commodore Shafquat Huassain Akhtar, Defence Advisor (Kenya) Brigadier General Shehryar and Comanding Officer PNS NASR Captain Misbah-ul-Amin.

PNS NASR, which called at the Mombasa port on 27th March 2021, is on an ongoing deployment to the African regions which aims at strengthing friendly ties with African countries, enhancing Naval collaboration, extending humanitarian assistance and developing interoperability with the host navies.

Maj Gen Mutai held lengthy discussions with the contingent that sought to enhance bilateral and military relations between the two nations. Both Pakistan and Kenya have over the years continued to enjoy the warm and cordial relations pillared by robust cooperation based from mutual respect and goodwill.

Present during the talks were the Deputy Commander Kenya Navy Brigadier Lawrence Gituma, Commandant Kenya Naval Training College Colonel Aden Mohamed and Chief of Operations Colonel Bernard Kumba.
