KDF TROOPS SUPPLY CLEAN WATER TO BONI RESIDENTS

The Kenya Defence Forces troops under Operation Amani Boni (OAB) drawn from Bargoni Military Camp in Lamu supply up to 30,000 litres of water each day to residents of Bargoni, Milimani, Bodhei as well as Ndununi.

This supply has cushioned residents in these areas from traveling distances of up to 30km in search of the precious commodity.

The residents, led by their religious leader Sheikh Mohamed Ali Mohamed, village elder Mzee Omar and area assistant Chief Salim A Salim have expressed their gratitude for the support from the KDF.

KDF continues to support communities under OAB, a multiagency operation in Boni enclave that continues to strengthen security and enhance livelihoods within areas of Lamu, Tana River and Lower Garissa, as well as suppressing Al Shabaab operations.
