COMMANDER COMBINED TASK FORCE (CTF) 150 VISITS ACDF OPD & T

Captain Yannic Bossu of the French Navy, together with his delegation paid a courtesy call to Assistant Chief of Defence Forces in charge of Operations, Plans, Doctrine and Training (ACDF OPD&T) Major General Fred Leuria at Defence Headquarters, following his assumption of duty as the Commander of the Combined Task Force 150.

The meeting focused on ways to further enhance the multi-faceted defence cooperation, particularly, the securitization and stabilization of the Horn Africa regions maritime environment.

Additionally, it discussed the sustained joint security cooperation and efforts in combating international terrorists use of the Indian maritime as an avenue for attacks and hazardous weapons and personnel conduit.

The CTF is a multinational maritime force with stakeholders from across 34 countries with its headquarters in Bahrain. It is tasked with conducting counter-terrorism and counter-piracy operations in the Indian Ocean, the Arabian Gulf and the Red Sea.
