The Kenya Defence Forces (KDF) conducted a nine days blood donation drive in the build up towards KDF Day celebrations.
The blood donation excercise targeted KDF personnel and their families based in military camps at the Coastal region.
In concurrence with the KDF Day 2020 theme, Enhancing Peace and Security through Civil-Military cooperation, the excercise was conducted in partnership with Malindi Sub-County hospital.
A total of 338 pints of blood were collected throughout the entire excercise where 40% of the blood collected will be distributed to local hospitals while 60% will be distributed across KDF medical centers.
