MAN ARRESTED FOR RECRUITMENT BRIBERY SUSPICION

On Tuesday 16 November 2021, a male adult aged 58 years was arrested on suspicion of trying to influence the ongoing Kenya Defence Forces (KDF) recruitment exercise in favour of his nephew while in possession of Ksh. 203,500 within the precincts of a recruitment centre in Nyamira County. He is currently in police custody awaiting presentation to court for prosecution.

KDF reiterates that the ongoing recruitment exercise is free, fair and open to all eligible Kenyans. The general public is reminded to be cautious of persons purporting to influence the exercise and to report such cases to the recruiting teams or the nearest police station or through the Defence hotline numbers; 0726419709 or 0120300599.
