KDF engineers who were rehabilitating the Nairobi-Nanyuki railway line, were accommodated at the Wathiani Primary School in Muranga County.
During their stay, the Engineers gave the school a fresh look. They renovated classroom walls, roof and repainted the gate.
A 5000 litre water tank was also installed for the school.
The renovation and large water reserve will ensure that pupils in the school enjoy a conducive environment once learning resumes.
The Headmaster Mr. Kennedy Gitau and the Board of Management Chairman Mr. Geoffrey Wanjohi appreciated KDF’s gesture.
“Thank you for providing a conducive environment for learning.” Mr. Gitau said, during the handover function.
Lt Col Gabriel Kibuchi represented the KDF during the function.
