KDF troops based at Diff Forward Operating Base (FOB) in collaboration with Diff Sub-County hospital conducted free medical camp at Ali Ismail location, Diff Sub-County in Wajir County.
Over 60 residents benefitted from the various medical services offered, with the majority being women and children. The medical camps are established periodically, noting that the nearest medical facility is situated 35 km away.
Speaking after the exercise, Mr. Idris Bare, nurse at Diff Sub-County Hospital, appreciated KDF for the outreach initiative. “I’m grateful for the medical camp initiative which helps to cover the vast Diff Sub-County by bringing the services closer to our people,” stated Mr. Idris.
The troops also delivered fresh water to Diff Secondary School and also met with the village elders.
The locals requested KDF to carry out frequent medical outreaches, appreciated their presence, and support to counter terrorism efforts in order to foster peace in the area.
