ENLIGHTENING LEARNERS ON FIRST AID CARE

The Kenya Defence Forces (KDF) stationed at Karare Military Camp conducted a First Aid Care demonstration and practice session for students from Bishop Cavallera Girls School in Marsabit County.

The session was led by Major Titus Wainaina, the Officer Commanding, along with Regimental Nurse Officer 2nd Lieutenant Japheth Lyanda. They guided the students and teaching staff through First Aid basics, including both theoretical lessons and hands-on practice.

During the session, the students participated in various demonstrations, helping them appreciate the importance of First Aid knowledge and its role in society.

While addressing the attendees, Maj. Wainaina expressed gratitude to the school management for allowing the staff and students to attend the program. He emphasized that the goal was to equip them with the skills to save lives, provide immediate care, and prevent further harm in case of emergencies.

The school management thanked the KDF team for their thoughtful and beneficial initiative, highlighting the importance of sensitizing learners on life-saving skills. They also expressed a desire for more future engagements, including mentorship sessions and collaborative activities across various fields.
