Defence Forces Constabularies comprising former National Youth Service (NYS) and 11 ex-KDF soldiers on 11 November 2021 graduated from School of Infantry (SOI) after competing a six months military training.
During the training the Defence Forces Constabularies were evaluated, tested and assessed as individuals and in groups where thirteen (13) constabularies were awarded for their exemplary performance in various fields during the training among them best platoon sergeant, best recruit in sports and marksmanship.
Speaking after inspecting a guard of honour mounted by the constabularies the Commander, Armoured brigade, Brigadier Jeremiah Maroko hailed the new military men and women and urged them to discharge their duties professionally, observing high degree of patriotism.
“Today is indeed a great day as we witness the passing out of Defence Forces Recruits. To those who are passing out, I congratulate and remind you that KDF has a history of valor and sacrifice therefore, you being new members of this Force you must have the values of self-discipline, loyalty, sacrifice and devotion to duty,” said the Commander.
The Defence Forces Constabulary offers an opportunity to former KDF and NYS personnel who retired with merit to re-deploy in various specialized categories.
