BASE COMMANDER MOI AIR BASE PRESIDES OVER FOUNDATION STONE CEREMONY

On Tuesday, November 12, 2024, Brigadier Bernard Oluoch, the Base Commander, Moi Air Base (MAB), presided over a foundation stone-laying ceremony at Moi Air Base Primary School. This event marked the start of a significant infrastructure project aimed at enhancing educational facilities within the Base.

The planned three-story building will feature twelve classrooms, six laboratories, three administrative offices, a staffroom, and a dining hall. The upgrades aim to provide a conducive learning environment, meeting the demands of the Junior Secondary School (JSS) curriculum and fostering academic excellence.

In his address, Brigadier Oluoch, representing the Commander of the Kenya Air Force, expressed appreciation to all stakeholders, parents, and sponsors, including the Kenya Defence Forces (KDF), for their support. He emphasized the importance of collective effort.

“All dreams are valid, and a journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step. This project, once completed, will support the school in achieving excellence in performance,” he stated.

The first phase of construction is scheduled for completion in January 2025, ensuring that facilities will be ready for incoming JSS students. This milestone reflects the school’s commitment to addressing rising enrollment while providing a supportive learning environment.

Senior officers present at the ceremony included Colonel Catherine Nekesa from the Defence Headquarters Education Branch and Lieutenant Colonel Omar Abubakar, Commanding Officer of Headquarters Wing, MAB.
