A KDF combat medical team operating under AMISOM, based in Abdi Birole, Somalia, today responded to a medical emergency. Two years, Abdi Omar was presented at the KDF Forward Operating Base (FOB) with a deep cut wound on the right side of his forehead. The toddler has been kicked by a donkey.
His parents rushed him to the KDF FOB for help. The wound was cleaned, stitched and dressed.
Omar was discharged on medication. He will also continue to receive regular wound care from the FOB.
