On Wednesday, 9 April 2025, Major General Fatuma Ahmed, Commander Kenya Air Force, graciously received Captain (Navy) Seher Erkol Odabaş, the newly appointed Turkish Defence Attaché to Kenya, during a courtesy call at the Kenya Air Force Headquarters. The objective of the courtesy call was to lay a strong foundation for future cooperation.
The visit served as a pivotal platform for the Turkish Defence Attaché to formally introduce herself and initiate discussions on enhancing the existing military ties between the two nations.
The meeting focused on the commitment of both Kenya and Turkey in fostering a robust and mutually beneficial partnership in the realm of defence.
Major General Ahmed extended a warm welcome to Captain (Navy) Odabaş, emphasizing the importance of collaborative efforts in addressing shared security concerns and promoting regional stability.
Accompanying Major General Fatuma Ahmed during this important engagement were Senior Officers from the Kenya Air Force leadership, including Brigadier Samuel Kipkorir, Deputy Commander of the Kenya Air Force, and Colonel Ibrahim Boru, Chief of Personnel at the Kenya Air Force Headquarters.
