THANKSGIVING THIS FESTIVE SEASON

Chief of Research and Development (R&D) Brigadier Gilbert Oduor, on Friday , 09 December 2022, led senior military and civilian
officers, service members, and their families in an annual thanksgiving festive ceremony on behalf of the Chief of Defence Forces General Robert Kibochi.

During the celebrations that took place at the Defence Headquarters in Nairobi, Service members and MoD staff who displayed exemplary performance during the year were also awarded.

While addressing the gathering, Brig Oduor praised the soldiers for their dedication, patriotism and service throughout the year, mentioning that every soldier should endeavor to set high standards in professionalism, discipline and dedication, urging them to perform better in the coming year.

“I want to thank all the soldiers and the MoD staff for a job well done this year and for your continuous support. I want to wish you all a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year,” he concluded.

Commandant DHQ-CAU Colonel Lawrence Ntoyai, thanked the Service Members for their dedication in the year 2022, further urging each and everyone to keep up with the same zeal in the coming year 2023. Further urging everyone to stay safe and mission ready during the festive season to deter, thwart and respond when called upon.

Those awarded during the celebrations were Garrison Sergeant Major (GSM) WOI Charles Lelekwe, WOII Dorcus Njoki (MRS), Jane Waithera (Procurement) among others.
