ONBOARDING NEWLY DEPLOYED AIRMEN AND WOMEN

Commander Kenya Air Force (KAF), Major General Fatma Ahmed, officially received new KAF service members and opened their Induction Course, at the Moi Air Base (MAB) gymnasium hall.

Major General Fatma, was accompanied by Senior Officers, including Acting Base Commander of MAB, Colonel Herbert Wafula, and the Commandant of the KAF Training Wing (KTW), Colonel Wilson Yatich.

The induction course is designed to augment training received at the Recruit Training School (RTS). The new soldiers will familiarise with the KAF organization mandate, strucures, culture, Formations and Bases, among other areas. The course will equip them with the necessary skills and knowledge to develop their character and enable them to perform their duties effectively.

While addressing the new service members, the Commander KAF advised them to take their work seriously, emphasizing that military service requires a higher standard and consciousness on one’s call to duty in service to the nation.

“You took an oath to obey all laws and carry out your duties without fear or favor, and you should be ready to do this 24/7″ the Commander stated.

The training is routine for newly posted soldiers post their basic military training at the Recruit Training School.
