The Moi Air Base fraternity recently brought holiday cheer, spreading love and generosity to widows of Kenya Air Force (KAF) soldiers and children at Mother Teresa Children’s Home in Huruma and Mama Fatuma Goodwill Children’s Home in Eastleigh.
Led by Mrs. Becky Kipkorir, the Moi Air Base Women Welfare Group provided essential food items, including sugar, cooking oil, flour, and rice, to widowed families of KAF personnel. The gesture underscored the group’s dedication to supporting the families of fallen heroes. Speaking to the widows, Mrs. Kipkorir reassured them of the group’s unwavering support: “We are always here for you. Never forget that you are not alone, and we will continue to walk this journey together.”
In a similar event, a team from Moi Air Base, led by Lieutenant Colonel Abubakar on behalf of Base Commander Brigadier Bernard Oluoch, delivered similar provisions to children at the two orphanages. The initiative was a testament to the fraternity’s commitment to spreading hope and joy during the festive season. Lieutenant Colonel Abubakar highlighted the significance of compassion in such endeavors. “Today, we stand together to support those in need. It’s not about how much we do, but the love and intention behind every act of kindness.”
Captain Annjoy Njagi, the Base Welfare Officer, expressed deep gratitude to all contributors. “As a welfare team, it is our responsibility to address the needs of those who have less than we do . Let’s continue to work hand in hand. Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year to all!”
The Moi Air Base fraternity’s thoughtful efforts brought smiles and hope to many, exemplifying the spirit of community and kindness during the holiday season.
