KOELEL FORCES ACADEMY HOLDS ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING

Koelel Forces Academy, located in Gilgil, recently held its Annual General Meeting (AGM), a key event that brings together the school fraternity, parents, and students. The AGM provides a platform for the school to reflect on the past year’s events, celebrate achievements in high school competitions, and recognize outstanding teachers and students.

Over the years, the Academy has demonstrated commendable performance across academics, sports, and cultural activities. These accomplishments underscore the school’s commitment to fostering holistic development and excellence among its students.

This year’s meeting was graced by Gilgil Garrison Commander, Brigadier Joel Cherutich, who is also the incoming Chairman of the School’s Board of Management. In his address, Brigadier Cherutich commended the students for their achievements and eagerness to learn. He urged parents to remain actively involved in monitoring their children’s academics and general well-being.

“The KDF remains fully committed to supporting the school in its pursuit of excellence. I urge you to set personal goals — it is through hard work and determination that you will achieve your vision,” Brigadier Cherutich who was also the AGM’s chief guest.

Chief Principal Mr. Philemon Obenge highlighted the strong partnership between the school administration, parents, and the Kenya Defence Forces in upholding high standards of discipline. He emphasized the impact of mentorship programs that guide students in time management, goal setting, and career planning. Mr. Obenge expressed confidence that the united efforts of educators, parents, and stakeholders would lead to stellar performance in national examinations.

Other keynote speakers underscored the critical role of education in national development and societal progress. Parents were also encouraged to support their children’s participation in co-curricular activities, which contribute to their overall growth and development.
