KNB MANDA BAY VISITS ANIDAN.K CHILDREN’S HOME

In the spirit of giving during the festive season, personnel from the Kenya Navy Base (KNB) Manda Bay visited Anidan.K Children’s Home in Wiyoni, Lamu Island, Lamu County, on January 1, 2025.

Led by Capt. John Kariuki, the team donated an array of essential items, including foodstuffs, sanitary supplies, cleaning materials, and other utilities, to support the children and staff of the home.

Speaking during the visit, Capt. Kariuki highlighted that the initiative aimed to spread love and goodwill to the children, helping them feel valued and cherished during this special time of year.

The General Manager of Anidan.K Children’s Home, Mr. Ali Omar Mohamed, expressed his gratitude to the KNB Manda Bay team for their thoughtful gesture. He remarked that the visit uplifted the children’s spirits and inspired hope for a brighter future.

Founded in 2002, Anidan.K Children’s Home is the largest orphanage in Lamu County, currently providing shelter and care to 270 children from various parts of the country.
