KENYA AIR FORCE & ITALIAN AIR FORCE STRENGTHEN TIES

On 11th March 2025, Commander Kenya Air Force (KAF) Major General Fatuma Ahmed, welcomed Lieutenant General Luca Goretti, Commander of the Italian Air Force (Aeronautica Militare), for his inaugural visit to the KAF Headquarters in Nairobi. The visit aimed to strengthen their shared commitment to advancing peace, security, and innovation in aerospace.

During their discussions, the two leaders focused on key areas such as interoperability, joint air operations, and the integration of cutting-edge technologies to reinforce their partnership.

Maj Gen Ahmed emphasized the importance of unity, stating, “Interoperability and collaborative missions are the bedrock for effective Air Forces. Together, we amplify our ability to safeguard skies and communities.”

Lt Gen Goretti affirmed this vision, adding, “Italy and Kenya share an unwavering resolve to pioneer solutions for security challenges. Our partnership is a force multiplier for stability.”

The visit concluded with a commitment to enhance training exchanges, operational synergy, and knowledge-sharing. Both Air Forces agreed to align their efforts to address emerging threats and opportunities in an evolving security landscape.
