KDF TROOPS FOSTER PEACE IN NORTH RIFT BY ENGAGING YOUTHS

Kenya Defence Forces (KDF) troops operating under Operation Maliza Uhalifu (OMU) visited young boys transitioning to manhood at the Africa Inland Church School in Chemoligot, Baringo County.

During the visit, they donated various food supplies and clean water to support the community.

Speaking at the event, Deputy Commander OMU, Colonel S. M. Musau, highlighted the importance of behavioral change among the boys and urged them to prioritize education. He encouraged the young men to become positive role models and peace ambassadors in their communities.

Bishop Yusuf Losute, who addressed the youths, commended KDF for their efforts in shaping the lives of young people by keeping them in school and reducing their involvement in banditry.

In a separate event, KDF troops from Kolowa Forward Operating Base (FOB) organized a one-day football tournament featuring teams from Kerio Valley and Kolowa Sub-counties.

The tournament aimed to promote cohesion and coexistence among youths from the neighboring areas. Meanwhile, KDF troops based in Mukutani FOB spread festive cheer by donating food supplies to residents of Mukutani.
