The Kenya Defence Forces Directorate of Medical Services (DMS) today held a health stakeholder’s seminar at the Defence Headquarters, Nairobi.
The seminar that incorporated the Chief of Medical Services Brigadier (Dr.) Muithya Ngundo , Managing Director (MD) DEFMIS, Brig. Amin Abass, The Chief of Medical Services at the Defence Headquarters (DHQ), Brig (Dr) Atanasias Odhiambo, MD Ulinzi Prime Health Services (UPHS), among other senior Military medical officers and AstraZeneca Management team aimed at streamlining health services in facilities within KDF.
The thematic points of concern and focus included Capacity building in adopting strategies to reduce health cost without compromising the quality of healthcare.
The forum also held discussions revolving around Screening of chronic illnesses and the creation of a health database for referencing in future.
