Kenya Defence Forces personnel from Kenya Air Force (KAF), Kenya Navy (KN) and the AMISOM Sector II on Saturday, 16th October 2021, marked the 10th anniversary of KDF Day from their respective headquarters and bases.
KAF personnel marked the day at Moi Air Base, Laikipia Air Base and the Wajir Air Base. Officers and airmen from KAF marked the day with laying of wreaths at their respective monuments, conducted football matches and visited children’s home.
Sailors at KN Mtongwe Base were led in marking the day by the Deputy Commander Kenya Navy Brigadier Lawrence Gituma.
At AMISOM Sector II Headquarters in Dhobley, the Deputy Sector Commander Colonel Pascal Kitiro led all the Forward Observation Bases in marking the 10th KDF Day. He commended the KDF peace enforcers for their resilience in pursuit of peace and stability in Somalia.
