KACEME OFFICERS’ REUNION

KACEME OFFICERS’ REUNION

Serving and retired officers from the Kenya Army Corps of Electrical and Mechanical Engineering (KACEME) held a mentorship get together today 27 March 2025 at Kahawa Garrison in Nairobi.

The inaugural event guided by the theme ‘Enhancing the Bluebells’ Bonds through Social Interactions’ aimed at establishing and building social connections between those in active service and the retired.
Commander Kenya Army Lieutenant General David Tarus who graced the event commended the Corps’ leadership noting that the event was a critical opportunity to not only share service experiences but also create stronger bonds among generations of service personnel.

“This reunion is a testament to the enduring bonds of camaraderie and shared unity of purpose that unite us even beyond our military careers,” he noted.

In their speeches, the veterans emphasized the virtues of integrity, honesty and professionalism and encouraged seasoned practitioners to share their technical expertise with juniors so as to ensure continuity when they exit the service. They further appreciated the KDF leadership for issuing them with Veterans Identification Cards which have enabled them access social services within military establishments besides fostering their interactions with active service personnel.

KACEME is tasked with maintenance of the Kenya Army Formations’ and Units’ equipment, a critical role that ensures their operational effectiveness.
In attendance were the Kenya Ordnance Factories Corporation (KOFC) Managing Director Major General George Okumu, Major General (Rtd) Solomon Manambo and Kenya Army logistics Senior Officers and Officers.
