The Junior Joint Command and Staff Course 093/22 that commenced on 12 September 22 ended on 16 December 2022 . The course ran for 14 weeks with 41 participants drawn from different services of the Kenya Defence Forces (KDF). The closing ceremony was graced by Commandant Joint Command and Staff College Maj Gen E M Kinuthia accompanied by the college leadership.
The Course was aimed at equipping participants with requisite knowledge and skills to perform duties in operational, command and staff appointments more effectively at Unit/Formation level while providing the basis for subsequent professional development.
In his address, the Commandant emphasised the importance of the course as it was applicable at all levels of command and staff, in both peacetime and operations. He expressed his satisfaction in the way Officers conducted themselves during the course. He reiterated that since this was a career course, a lot would be expected from them upon return to their units/formations.
Lastly, he thanked the Head of Junior Division and the Directing Staff for their great commitment in sharing their knowledge, experiences and offering mentorship. He congratulated the Officers on successfully completing the course and wished them well in their careers and future appointments.
