The Senior Joint Command and Staff College Course number 39-2023/24 led by the Commandant Maj Gen E M Kinuthia conducted National Industrial Capacity (NIC) and Kenya Navy visits in the Coastal Region on 4-5 March 2024. The visits were based on the Theme: THE NEXUS BETWEEN NATIONAL DEVELOPMENT AND REGIONAL SECURITY.
On national development visits were made to: Bulkstream Limited that plays a key role in food security; Africa Activated Carbon EPZ Limited which is engaged in Agro Processing while also providing environmental solutions; The Associated Vehicle Assemblers, that is focused on assembly of an assorted types of vehicles. In provision of Maritime Security, visits to Kenya Ports Authority and Kenya Coast Guard Services were conducted. It was all crowned at the Kenya Navy with the College being hosted by the Commander Kenya Navy Maj Gen J Mutai and accorded a tour of various KN Mutongwe facilities together with a visit to Kenya Shipyards Limited.
