General Robert Kibochi, the Chief of the Defence Forces (CDF) has visited the School of Infantry, Armoured Brigade and the School of Artillery.
The Commander Kenya Army, Lieutenant General Walter Koipaton, accompanied the CDF during the tour.
In his address to soldiers, Gen Kibochi shared his vision of sharpening the arrowhead for mission accomplishment.
“Today I am visiting Isiolo because of the various Army schools present here and which are very important to the army and KDF. This goes hand in hand with re-energizing our mission readiness through effective and efficient training as an enabler, ” said the CDF.
Gen Kibochi gave the example of the Combined Arms Training Centre based in Isiolo as an enabler in training across the whole spectrum of war theater.
The CDF commended the Armoured Brigade for achieving an excellent percentage in maintenance, repair and overhaul of Main Battle Tanks and the Light Armoured Fighting Vehicles.
In his conclusion, the CDF urged the soldiers to rededicate themselves to continue serving the republic as well as enhance the good reputation of Kenya Defence Forces.
