Kenya Defence Forces (KDF) troops operating in Mandera County recently conducted a Civil-Military Cooperation (CIMIC) initiative at Iresuki village, Mandera Central Sub-County.
During the engagement, community elders emphasized the negative impact of terrorism on socio-economic development, urging residents to reject radicalization and violent extremism. The KDF team reinforced this message, highlighting how such activities derail government-led development efforts.
As part of the initiative, KDF troops organized a medical camp, where over 200 residents received treatment for common ailments.
The success of ongoing security operations in the region relies heavily on community participation. Security agencies encourage timely information sharing to help detect and neutralize potential threats, ensuring lasting peace and stability in Mandera County.
