ENHANCING TRAINING CAPACITY FOR KENYA AIR FORCE

The Kenya Air Force (KAF) marked a significant milestone as the Commander KAF presided over the graduation ceremony of the Qualified Flying Instructors (QFI) Course No. 13/24. The event, held on Thursday, 20th March 2025, at the Aviation Centre of Excellence (ACE) in Laikipia Air Base (LAB), celebrated the achievements of four officers who successfully completed their training. Commander KAF Maj Ge Fatuma Ahmed presided over the event.

The Base Commander LAB, Brigadier Mohamud Farah, welcomed the Commander and provided an update on the base’s status before proceeding to ACE for the graduation ceremony.

The four graduates underwent an intensive training program designed to enhance their instructional capabilities, including a two-week Defence Instructional Techniques course, a one-month ground school refresher, and a four-month flying phase.
In her address, the Commander KAF congratulated the graduates and emphasized the importance of their new roles.

“Your ethos, conduct, and decorum must always be above reproach. As you embark on this noble journey, remember that you are not just instructors but also mentors and role models who will shape the future of our Air Force,” she stated. She also commended ACE for its dedication to providing high-quality pilot training and expanding its services to other government agencies.

The Commandant of ACE, Lieutenant Colonel Dickson Kitur, reaffirmed the Centre’s commitment to producing highly skilled instructors, describing them as a critical component of KAF’s success.

The ceremony was attended by senior officers, commanding officers, service members, and distinguished guests, including the graduates’ families and friends, who gathered to celebrate this remarkable achievement.
