Kenya Defence Forces troops operating under the multi-agency Operation Maliza Uhalifu (OMU) recently undertook range classification exercises to enhance their capacity and capabilities in the operational theater.
The exercise, held at the Chesitet firing range facility, brought together troops from various forward operations bases to refine their weapon handling and marksmanship skills.
Addressing the troops, Brigadier S. M. Huria, Commander of OMU, emphasized the importance of training as a key pillar in a soldier’s welfare and a driver of operational efficiency and effectiveness.
“Training is an essential aspect of soldier welfare, helping them acquire the skills and knowledge necessary to execute their mission effectively,” he noted.
