On 16 December 2024, Deputy Army Commander (DAC) Major General Mohamed Nur Hassan visited Kenya Army troops in the Nanyuki and Isiolo regions. The visit aimed to boost the troops’ morale, assess their operational readiness, and convey the strategic leadership’s appreciation for their ongoing dedication to duty.
During his address, Major General Mohamed commended both individual and collective efforts, highlighting that these contributions are critical in ensuring the Kenya Army remains mission-ready.
“The entire KDF leadership is proud of the sacrifices you make every day in fulfilling our mandate. Your resilience and unwavering dedication are recognized, and I urge you to maintain the same spirit as we continue discharging our duties,” he stated.
The DAC also emphasized the importance of discipline, urging the troops to maintain a high level of professionalism both on and off duty. He encouraged Commanders at all levels to exercise exemplary leadership to inspire and motivate their subordinates.
“It is our Commander’s wish and desire that leadership at every level exercises fairness, firmness, and continually mentors their subordinates to nurture and cultivate the desired military ethos,” he added.
As the festive season approaches, Major General Mohamed wished the troops and their families well. He also urged them to remain vigilant, ensuring they can effectively deter and respond to any security threats while Kenyans celebrate the season.
