COMMANDER KENYA ARMY VISITS EMBAKASI GARRISON

On 28th April 2025, Commander Kenya Army Lieutenant General David Tarus conducted a routine visit to Embakasi Garrison where a number of KDF Units are hosted.

The visit aimed to ensure operational readiness and morale of soldiers by having first hand engagement with both officers and service members in the form of a Baraza.

While appreciating the good work done by the soldiers, Lt Gen Tarus reminded them on individual and collective contributions that ultimately enables Kenya Army and KDF by extension to fulfill its mandate as enshrined in the constitution and also through the Chief of the Defence Forces clarion call of ‘One Force, Mission Ready”.

“In Mission execution, my focus is on three priorities, Mission readiness (training and operational effectiveness), physical fitness (operational readiness) and family life welfare of all troops. I strongly believe that mission ready, fitness and welfare, driven by sustained dedication, passion and service will lead to success”, said Lt. Gen Tarus.

During his visit, Commander Kenya Army also inspected a number of ongoing projects within the camp which upon completion are expected to enhance training of soldiers during peacetime operations.

Present during the visit was General Officer Commanding Eastern Command Major General Luka Kutto, Embakasi Garrison Commander Brigadier Jackson Lesaiyo, Senior Officers, Officers and Service Members.
