COMMANDER KENYA AIR FORCE PRESIDES OVER GOLF EVENT

On 31st August 2024, the Commander Kenya Air Force (COMD KAF) Major General Fatuma Ahmed, who is also patron of the Kenya Air Force Golf Club, was the Chief Guest at the Kenya Defence Forces Golf Association (KDFGA) Patron’s Prize ceremony held at Moi Air Base, Nairobi.

Golf is part of the Ministry of Defence (MOD) wellness programmes, aimed at maintaining physical fitness and esprit de corps, which are essential for the Kenya Defence Forces (KDF) to effectively execute their mandate.

During the event, Maj Gen Ahmed expressed her gratitude to sponsors and all the golfers who participated in the tournament.

“It has been a long journey, and within that time, you have come up with innovative ways of ensuring that golf, as a discipline within the defence forces, continues to thrive,” she stated.

KDFGA Patron Maj Gen Eric Kinuthia thanked Maj Gen Ahmed for gracing the occasion and commended the golfers for their participation, which contributed to the event’s success.

The tournament featured players from various categories, including serving and retired KDF officers, as well as golfers from other clubs in Nairobi and across the country.
