COMMANDER KENYA AIR FORCE LEADS KDF

GOLFERS IN 4TH KAF COMMANDER’S TROPHY

The 4th edition of the Kenya Air Force (KAF) Commander’s Trophy golf tournament took place at Moi Air Base (MAB) on September 21, 2024. Major General Fatuma Ahmed, Commander of the KAF and patron of the KAF Golf Club, presided over the event. The tournament is part of the Ministry of Defence’s wellness program, designed to promote physical fitness and camaraderie among members of the Kenya Defence Forces (KDF).

During her address, Maj Gen Ahmed expressed her gratitude to the sponsors and participants for their contributions to the success of the event. She emphasized the importance of golf as a key activity within the KDF’s fitness and wellness initiatives.

Maj Gen Erick Kinuthia, patron of the Kenya Defence Forces Golfers Association (KDFGA), also spoke, commending the golfers for their dedication and thanking Maj Gen Ahmed for her leadership and support of the event. He highlighted how their collective efforts helped make the tournament a success.

The event introduced Colonel Evans Oduma as the new chairman of the Kenya Air Force Golf Club. The tournament featured players from various categories, including both active and retired KDF officers, as well as golfers from clubs across Nairobi and the country.
