COMMANDER KAF OPENS LOGISTICS SEMINAR

Major General Fatuma Ahmed, Commander of the Kenya Air Force (KAF), officially opened a three-day Logistics Officers’ seminar at Moi Air Base on 30th September 2024. The seminar, running until 2nd October 2024, brings together logistics officers from various KAF formations to discuss key aspects of their roles and responsibilities.

During the opening session, Colonel Benedetta Kikech, Commander of Logistics Command, emphasized the critical role of logistics in warfare, noting its impact at the strategic, operational, and tactical levels. She highlighted that effective logistics are essential for the success of military operations.

In her address, Maj Gen Ahmed stressed the importance of collaborative discussions among officers to address leadership challenges at different levels. She encouraged participants to engage in constructive criticism to improve their performance and effectiveness. Maj Gen Ahmed also urged the officers to make concerted efforts to meet the expectations of key stakeholders, emphasizing that logistics functions are crucial in maintaining a mission-ready force.
