BISHOP WORSHIPS WITH THE MOI AIR BASE COMMUNITY

On March 23, 2025, the Moi Air Base (MAB) community welcomed Bishop Wallace Ng’ang’a of the Military Ordinariate for a special worship service at Our Lady of Assumption Catholic Church. The gathering served as a profound moment of faith, unity, and spiritual renewal for both military and civilian faithful.

Upon arrival, Bishop Ng’ang’a was received by Brigadier Benard Oluoch, the Base Commander of MAB. The Bishop then blessed the Heroes Monument and officiated the blessing of the Catholic Women Association (CWA). This was followed by a solemn procession, led by the church choir, from the monument to the church—a symbolic journey of faith accompanied by hymns and prayers, fostering deep reflection and devotion.

During the Holy Mass, Bishop Ng’ang’a emphasized the importance of faith, duty, and resilience—core values that align with both spiritual and military service. The Mass brought together military personnel and civilians, reinforcing the unity between faith and service.

In his remarks, Brigadier Oluoch expressed gratitude to Bishop Ng’ang’a for choosing to worship with the MAB Our Lady of Assumption Catholic Church, noting that such engagements promote spiritual togetherness within the community.
