AFFIRMING OPERATIONAL READINESS

On 2nd and 3rd September 2024, Commander Kenya Army, Lieutenant General David Tarus, visited various Army training institutions in the Isiolo Region. The purpose of the visit was to inspect the facilities used to train army personnel, ensuring their preparedness for operational duties.

During his address, Lt. Gen. Tarus praised the soldiers for their professionalism and discipline, emphasizing the assurance they provide in safeguarding the nation from land-based threats.

“You have conducted yourselves professionally in all tasks assigned to you. The discipline, courage, and dedication you have demonstrated have earned the Kenya Army respect and pride. I urge you to remain mission-ready for future tasks,” said Lt Gen Tarus.

Lt. Gen. Tarus also stressed the critical role the training schools play in the Kenya Defence Forces (KDF), especially for the Army, by enhancing mission readiness through efficient and effective training, which he described as a force multiplier.

He reassured the troops that the Army leadership remains committed to their welfare by prioritizing soldier-centered approaches and meeting their needs.
The visit allowed soldiers to engage directly with leadership, sharing their experiences and identifying gaps and opportunities within their areas of responsibility.

Accompanying Lt. Gen.
