In the Spirit of Ramadhan, The Kenya Defence Forces (KDF) Muslim fraternity serving in Somalia under the African Union Mission in Somalia (AMISOM) based at New Airport Forward Operating Base, visited local people of Wadajir Location to give out Zakaatul –Fitr.
The gesture will enable the locals to celebrate Eid Mubarak with their families.
The outreach team was led by the Commanding Officer, his Second in Command, Imam and Jubaland Airport Operations Director Mr. Rashid Abdi Dakane.
The KDF Imam led the forum in prayers alongside the Assistant Chief Maalim Musa Ali and village elders.
Over thirty (30) households benefited from assorted food items such as cooking oil, wheat flour, sugar, rice, milk, tea leaves, beans and dates.
The residents led by the area Assistant Chief thanked the KDF AMISOM troops for the kind gesture during the Holy month of Ramadhan.
