On Friday 25 April 2025, the Joint Command and Staff College personnel conducted a tree planting and growing exercise under environmental soldier programme at the University of Nairobi (UoN) Upper Kabete Campus. The exercise was in partnership with the University of Nairobi Faculty of Agriculture and Greens of Africa Foundations.
The tree planting and growing exercise is a continuation of efforts by the College and its partners to safeguarding the environment, restoring biodiversity and address the ever-changing challenges of climate change.
The exercise was led by Commanding Officer JCSC Camp Admin Wing Lt Col Mwangi who emphasized the importance of collaboration in building a sustainable environment. Also present was the CEO – Greens of Africa Foundation Dr. Jedida Wanyeki (PhD) who reiterated the importance of the exercise in sowing seeds of environmental stewardship.
