The Senior Joint Command and Staff Course number 40 – 2024/25 carried out regional visits to African countries of Cote d’Ivoire, Nigeria, Seychelles, Tunisia and Zimbabwe as part of their curriculum requirement.
The visits conducted between 14 – 22 March 2025 were in line with course participants’ professional and academic programmes in Defence and Strategic Studies under the theme: ENHANCING REGIONAL SECURITY THROUGH STRENGTHENING INDUSTRIAL CAPACITY AND DEFENCE PARTNERSHIPS. The visits exposed the participants to various practical aspects of their studies cementing their theoretical knowledge gained during lecturers. The Commandant Joint Command and Staff College Maj Gen Eric Kinuthia and faculty led the visits.
In the five countries, the delegation visited sister Command and Staff Colleges, Ministries of Defence, Defence Headquarters, selected ministries, State Departments and institutions interlinking industrial capacity to state security.
