DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The Human Resource Management and Development (HRM&D) is responsible for management of the Ministry’s Civilian Staff Component. Specific functions include;
- Interpretation and implementation of Government human resource management and development policies and circulars and ensuring compliance;
- Development, review and implementation of Ministerial HR policies and strategic plans;
- Budgeting for personal emoluments and ensuring efficient payroll management
- General HR administration services
- Recruitment, Appointment, deployment, career management and disciplinary control of civilian staff
- Management of staff training and development
- Coordination of staff supervision and performance management
- Human resource planning, compliment control and review of the staff establishment
- Custody of personnel records
- Management of employee welfare, health, safety and wellness
- Coordination of the Ministerial Human Resource committees
