The Commandant Joint Command and Staff College (JCSC), Maj Gen Eric Kinuthia joined the Chief of the Defence Forces, General Charles Kahariri in a tree planting exercise on 10 October 2024 at the Prof. Wangari Maathai Institute for Peace and Environmental Studies at the University of Nairobi. The Commandant was accompanied by the College Leadership, Faculty, Staff and participants of course 40-2024/25.
The participation of JCSC in the event is in line with the Government of Kenya target of planting 15 Billion trees by 2032 and also aligns to the theme of the environmental soldier programme which aims at achieving Total National Defence.
