- Coordination and preparation of the ministries budget
- Implementation and management of the budget through issuance of AIEs
- Coordination of the preparation of the Ministerial Public Expenditure review and the National Security Sector Reports.
- Providing linkage between the Ministry and the National Treasury in terms of Budget
- Control, monitoring and evaluation of ministerial expenditures
