A young man was today 15 November 2021 arrested in Malava, Kakamega County for attempting to bribe a Kenya Defence Forces (KDF) Officer in the ongoing countrywide recruitment drive.
The 23 year old potential recruit had written Ksh400,000 on his palm an indication that he intended to offer that amount to the recruiting officer. The suspect was handed over to civil police.
KDF reiterates that any form of corruption is not allowed in the recruitment exercise and that the process is free and fair to all eligible Kenyans.
