PROMOTING THERAPY IN KDF MEDICAL FACILITIES

On behalf of Commander Kenya Army, Lieutenant General David Tarus, the Kenya Army Medical Corps Headquarters donated chess boards to the Defence Forces Memorial Hospital (DFMH) on February 26, 2025.

The initiative was launched by Lieutenant Colonel (Dr) Walter Odongo, who presented the boards at DFMH in the presence of Chief Medical Officer Colonel (Dr) Edward Osewe and Chief Nursing Officer Lieutenant Colonel Irene Mureithi.

This initiative aims to be expanded across other KDF regional health facilities as part of a broader effort to incorporate therapeutic practices into healthcare. It is hoped that the introduction of chess will promote the mental well-being of patients.
