Deputy Commander Kenya Navy, Brigadier Sankale Kiswaa, on 10 April 2025 presided over the graduation ceremony for Kenya Navy Junior leadership Course (JLC) held at the 15 Kenya Rifles (15 KR), Mariakani.
JLC is aimed at equipping Kenya Navy Service Members with knowledge and skills to exercise leadership and command over subordinates as well as manage resources in their areas of deployment.
Over the course of eleven weeks, participants underwent intensive training focused on building leadership capabilities, teamwork, and the ability to carry out various duties in service environments.
In his speech, Brigadier Kiswaa congratulated the participants for their commitment thoughout the course and urged them to continue putting into practice the knowledge and skills gained from the course.
“Congratulations for making it to this far, your commitment, discipline and hardwork is recommendable. The skills you have gained through this training are very essential in your different areas of deployment,” said Brigadier Kiswaa.
The Chief Instructor Kenya Naval Training College (KNTC), Lieutenant Colonel Ernest Ndirangu commended the graduands for their achievement. He urged them to maintain professionalism and teamwork as they progress in their maritime careers.
Present during the ceremony were Kenya Navy senior officers, officers and service members.
