The Disaster Response Battalion (DRB) of the Kenya Defence Forces (KDF) yesterday, 20 September 2022, conducted a demonstration exercise showcasing their expertise in Urban Search and Rescue (USAR) to the Deputy Argentine Ambassador to Kenya, Natalia Acevedo and the visiting White Helmet Commission (from Argentina) delegation.
The exercise was conducted in conjunction with other disaster response agencies namely; KDF’s 1st Canine Regiment, National Disaster Management Unit, National Police Service, Bomb Disposal Unit of the Directorate of Criminal Investigations, Kenya Red Cross Society and St. John’s Ambulance.
The delegation was accompanied by the Director International Peace Support Training Centre (IPSTC) Brig Joyce Sitienei and Commanding Officer DRB Lt Col Elon Were.
