KENYA AIR FORCE PLANTS TREES AT KAMULU

Kenya Air Force (KAF) Service Personnel from the Air Defence Wing (ADW) on Friday, 20th May 2022 planted over 3,000 trees at Kamulu, Machakos County.

Led by their Adjutant and in partnership with students from District Education Board (DEB) Primary School and Drumvale Secondary School, the soldiers planted trees in the two schools in Kamulu area.

Also present during tree planting exercise were area authorities led by the Assistant County Commissioner of Njiru Sub-County Miss Lyndah Amoit.

In a separate exercise, KAF soldiers from KAF Administrative Wing (KAW) and Tactical Transport Wing (TTW) planted over 400 trees of assorted species at the Moi Air Base Golf course in Nairobi.

The tree planting initiative is part of KDF’s environmental soldier program which is aimed at actualising environmental sustainability goals under the banner, ‘Towards Total National Defence.’
