KAF HOLDS AIR OPERATORS SEMINAR

The Kenya Air Force (KAF) held a two-day Aviation Seminar for Pilots, Technicians and Air Traffic Controllers that ended on Friday, 13th May 2022 at Moi Air Base, (MAB) Eastleigh in Nairobi.

The seminar was officially opened by Deputy Commander KAF Brigadier Peter Githinji who urged seminar participants to gain as much knowledge as possible to improve air operations within KAF.

Subject matter experts were drawn from various institutions including the Kenya Civil Aviation Authority, Ministry of Transport,  East Africa School of Aviation, Aviation Hospital and AMREF who shared knowledge and experiences on the best aviation practices. The areas covered included air accidents, causes of air accidents, consequences and remedies.

Addressing the participants during the closing ceremony, Deputy Base Commander MAB Colonel Tobias Vigisa thanked the facilitators and urged the participants to make use of the knowledge gained during the seminar.

“As Air operators, you have gained much from the subject matter experts. Put all that you have gained into practice and take caution where necessary,” said Colonel Vigisa.

Participants at the seminar also included flight support crew, medics and administrators among others.

Present during the seminar were the Commandant KAF Training Wing Colonel Eutychus Ndegwa, Senior Officers and Officers.
